Welcome

The Department of Clinical Anatomy at Mayo Clinic maintains that knowledge of anatomy is a core clinical competency. The Department of Clinical Anatomy considers the human body to be the gold standard for understanding anatomy and incorporates all human anatomical data derived from patient imaging, patient records, surgical observations, and cadaveric dissections and visualization as resources for teaching and learning, scientific discovery, and clinical innovation.

The Department of Clinical Anatomy provides Mayo Clinic with a collaborative clinical/basic science practice for Clinical Anatomists to improve knowledge of anatomy, enhance patient care and drive innovation.
