Mayo Clinic Department of Clinical Anatomy

Welcome

The Department of Clinical Anatomy at Mayo Clinic maintains that knowledge of anatomy is a core clinical competency. The Department of Clinical Anatomy considers the human body to be the gold standard for understanding anatomy and incorporates all human anatomical data derived from Dissection, Imaging, Biomedical Visualization and Mayo Clinic Platform for education, scientific discovery, and clinical innovation.

The Department of Clinical Anatomy considers "Clinical Anatomy" an "Advanced Anatomical Construct for Optimizing Patient Care” and provides Mayo Clinic with a collaborative clinical/basic science practice for Clinical Anatomists to improve knowledge of anatomy, enhance patient care and drive innovation.
