How to Add a Studio Site - Inline Image

Use the Studio Site - Inline Media content type to add an image to the page. Inline Media is designed to hold images and videos for sidebar layouts that take up the full width of the main content. In this module, you will learn how to add an image to a page.

Instructions

From the T4 Site Structure, navigate to the page you are updating. 

How to add a new inline media to a page

  1. Click the Add Content button.
  2. Select Studio Site - Inline Media from the list of content types.
  3. Use the following content elements (all are optional):
    • Name: Add descriptive name of content type to be used within T4 Site Structure.
    • Heading 2: Adds "h2" heading.
    • Heading 3: Adds "h3" heading.
    • Image: Select an image from the Media Library.
    • White border on image: Check to add a white border to the image.
    • Video Embed: Paste in full video embed code to add video.
    • Caption: add a caption to be displayed below the image or video.
  4. Click the Save Changes button to save content as a draft, or press the arrow and select Save and Approve to save and publish updates.

How to edit an existing inline media content type

  1. Select the existing inline media content type you'd like to edit. 
  2. Make needed adjustments to the content elements described above. 
  3. Click the Save Changes button to save content as a draft, or press the arrow and select Save and Approve to save and publish updates.

Best practices

  • Select images that directly support or enhance the surrounding text and overall message
  • Position inline images near related text to create a logical and visually appealing flow
  • Use built-in alignment options (e.g., left, right, or center) to ensure the image integrates well with the page layout
  • Avoid overloading the page with too many inline images, which could clutter the layout or distract from key content

Common issues and troubleshooting

  • Not designed/recommended for use on full-width layouts.
