Education research awards

The Office of Education Research is committed to advancing education research and supporting the careers of Mayo Clinic educators. Through a variety of funding opportunities, we support scholarship that enhances the quality of education across Mayo Clinic. These awards provide faculty with opportunities to develop education research skills, conduct high-impact studies, and contribute to the broader field of education research.

Endowment for Education Research Award (EERA)

The Endowment for Education Research Award is awarded by OASES to increase the value of Mayo’s educational programs, contribute to the science of education literature and help develop the academic careers of Mayo educators.

Education Science Career Development Award (ESCDA)

The Education Science Career Development Award is awarded by OASES to provide faculty development opportunities to Mayo faculty who wish to pursue education research as a significant component of their careers.

Mid-Career Clinician Education Investigator Award (CEIA)

This award provides three years of funding to clinicians who have demonstrated early, sustained success as education scientists and who identify education research as a primary career objective. The ultimate goal is to advance the careers, productivity, and academic rank of Mayo education researchers.

Applicants must be staff employees with primary appointment in clinical practice. Strong candidates will demonstrate a portfolio of published education research indicating sustained, successful investigations that have had an impact on the field.

Clinician Education Investigator Award (CEIA)

The Clinician Education Investigator is the first Mayo Clinic award of its kind dedicated to supporting education researchers who have significant, sustained contributions to Education Science on a national and international scale.
